Just downloaded the trial again after repeated attempts and finally got it to work. Works almost perfectly. The only trouble I'm having is with the email alerts. Maybe they do not work in the trial-mode?

Also is the monthly subscription fee for accessing Mobiscope from any computer? Or after I pay the $29.95, I still pay monthly subscription fee?

The feature I like most is that I can view the webcam at anytime, and click record.

This is an awesome application for the BB. I'll be buying it soon.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your nice feedback.

The trial version is fully functional, except it is time limited.
Please make sure you have set Motion Detector Settings correctly, including e-mail address, etc. and saved the settings.
Email-notifications might be blocked by your email spam filters. Please check your spam box.

Mobiscope license is per BlackBerry, not per computer. You can connect to several computers with cameras from your BlackBerry. Mobiscope Desktop should be installed on all computers you are going to use.

You can order monthly subscription to use Mobiscope during one month. The subscription will be automatically renewed each month until you cancel it by yourself in your account.
If you pay a one-time fee, monthly subscription is not required. One time fee lets you using Mobiscope for a life time without any additional payment for the application.

I have been using Mobiscope for several months now. This program works as advertised. This newest version of the software allows you to view any combination of up to 4 USB webcams and/or IP cams at the same time. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who has a need to view webcams or IP cams.

Default Requesting Help With Your Application - 06-25-2008, 06:51 PM

I purchased Mobiscope through Handango, and have been trying since last week to get some support with a problem to no avail. I have a Blackberry Curve 8310 with AT&T. I can not receive email alerts. I have the alerts formatted for "Blackberry". My webcam is triggered by motion, but I do not receive any alerts. There is nothing wrong with my email program. Spam filters do not appear to be an issue. I do not find any alerts in my bulk mail. Please help me to get this resolved. An email I sent to Shape has gone unanswered, and Handango keeps referring me to your company. I like the application, but it is of no use to me if I can not receive email alerts.

We are investigating the issue. Please provide us some time to answer. I will send you a PM.

Thank you for understanding.

blackberry_pye, the problem might be that the connection you have is very poor. Please go to Mobiscope Desktop -> File -> Options -> Connection -> Online Service Address and enter gate0.rdmplus.com
This might improve the connection to the Online Service and email alerts will be delivered to you as supposed.

Is the default: gate1.rdmplus.com?

Hope it works for BBpye, my trial has run out! If that's the only problem and it can be easily fixed, I will definitely purchase the one time fee of 30$.

I've tried other cam software for my BB, paid and free, and none of them stack up to Mobiscope. With the ease of use and all of the extra features, you can't ask for anything more. I highly recommend this application for anyone who wants a piece of mind while away from their home, pets, or even their children(NannyCam)!
Thanks ShapeServices for another great product.

I changed the setting as you suggested, and I still am not getting an email alert. I have DSL service. You suggest that there may be a poor connection. I am not sure what you mean. I have not had any email problems at all, and have not experienced any bandwidth problems or error messages. My computer has a fresh install of Windows XP and I have not had any problems with it. It is virus and malware free. Do you have any other suggestions?

The default might be gate1 or gate2.

What if you have an IP cam that already port forwards to a DNS service through it's on webserver? I don't want to install any apps on my laptop at home.

Hello Nate,

There is a Mobiscope IP Web Service that enables you to view your IP camera without Desktop installation on your laptop, but at the moment BlackBerry is not supported. We are going to implement it in future, but no time frames are available yet.

Mobiscope application for BlackBerry requires Desktop installation as a need.

I have not heard anything from your developers, and I have responded to all requests for log information. This has gone on for a month now without resolution . All I keep hearing is that "our developers are looking into it". The fact that I am unable to receive email alerts renders the program unacceptable.
Please advise.

Dear blackberry_pye,

Our developers are actually working on your problem. They've checked on their side and see that you have got the email alerts several times. I can advise you the same as our support team did - to check your Junk folder, email alerts might get there by accident. You might also try to use another email address for email alerts delivery.
