Default AIM problem with my 8830...help!

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a Blackberry World Edition 8830 from Sprint. There's actually a bookmark in the browser to install AIM, but it gets an error each and every time.

So then, I went to blackberry.com/aim, since the link was posted here. I actually got to download the software...but when I try to login, it says I need to go to blackberry.com/aim to activate my handheld device....what the heck?? I accepted the disclosure on that....there's nowhere on there to activate anything.

Is there another address I should be using to download the software?? Is it an issue with Sprint?? CUstomer service seems to have no clue...

Download Palringo.

It works better, supports multiple IM services, such as Yahoo, Gtalk and ICQ, and is, most importantly, FREE!

Now gits to downloadin'!

There's another thread, recently, on this. You might want to do a search.

I did not have much luck with this or instango. I ended up paying for Jive Talk which is dependable.
