Question Put phone on silent when in meeting app

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys

I'm wondering if there is an application for the Blackberry that can automatically set the device to a silent profile when the calendar shows that I'm supposed to be in a meeting?

Needs to be compatible with MS outlook calendar appointments and BES.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice

Is it too difficult to simply select profiles, and switch to the Quiet one?

I am not aware of a program that does that. Interesting request.

Somebody had mentioned the idea of a location-based feature that would mute the ringers & alerts in places like movie theaters, make it loud when outdoors, etc.

I'm going to suggest that you make this suggestion directly to RIM - it's likely to be easiest to implement in the software undercarriage since it directly addresses features (and menus) for the calendar, the ringer, the profiles, etc. - and I'm guessing that embedding it will let it happen with a lot less CPU/memory resource cost.

But a third party can certainly beat RIM to the punch - they don't need to get their code approved by all the carriers.

Look at this app...can do what you want, I believe, w/a little work on your part to tag the meetings when you want a particular profile to be active.

BlackBerry Profiles Scheduler Version 1.3 is available!

This most likely will not work in a BES environment (a requirement of the OP) since it requires keystroke injection permission, which is typically not allowed by BES policy.
