I just saw that WeatherBug Direct BlackBerry has been updated to version, Now it has BlackBerry profile support for critical weather alerts, as well as the ability to change the alert type for over 70 different weather conditions (none, audio, visual, audio+visual) for further customization!

i hope they also took care of the memory leak.
my av was not safe for preschoolers.

Does the subscription WB client have similar alert capabilities? The site info wasn't clear about it.

Not to sure on the subscription version, I've been using the free version for a quite a few months and it just keeps getting better.

If you download the free version you can email support and ask them, I would hope they would get back to you with the answer. I emailed thier support a few versions back and got a response in a couple of days.
8830 -> 8330 -> 9550 -> 9650
Just think about how far BlackBerries have come from then till now... And what else is coming.
