I wanted to try VZNav, so I had to update my Desktop Manager, Update the OS and then install VZNav. In doing all that, I now have VZNav, but have lost the icons for ToDoMatrix and IdeaMatrix, my only 3rd party programs.

When upgrading an OS, are all 3rd party programs lost, or did I do something wrong? If I reinstall the programs via an OTA download, do I have to contact Rexwireless to have them resend my license key? I posted to their support group, but haven't heard back.

ToDoMatrix and IdeaMatrix are registered by account. Once you assign the reg info to your *Matrix account it is attached forever. All you have to do is login once you install any *Matrix app and it downloads your data again.

I can attest to DeadRinga's comments. All you might lose is any data that was not backed up to web. But even without doing that, I have been able to recover data "on the same device"

I got no problems with all my 3rd party apps on OS 4.5 on my Pearl.

I have looked at other 3rd party apps, but didn't purchase. If I did, and then upgraded the OS again, would I always have to reinstall the apps? I wasn't worried about my data with *Maxtrix because I could see it on the desktop, but other apps don't have desktop components or auto backups.

Whew, back to normal, lol.
