If you only paid $20 for the device license, you'll need to buy a new license.

The $30 JiveTalk license is a per-user license and can be transferred to other devices.

You chose to purchase the device license instead of the user license. It was a gamble, and you lost.

Try contacting JiveTalk. They'll probably allow you to pay the difference of $10 and upgrade your license for you.
They're a great bunch of people over there.

They have a webpage under support on their website. You can transfer your device license to a new device for $10 or upgrade it to a user license for $20.

You mean the $30 User Liscense right not the $20 Device liscense. Right?

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

If you purchased the device license, you can upgrade to the user licnese for $20. If you never purchased the program, it is $30 for the user.
