PDReplyAsNew No Longer Around? Hello, all. This is my first post on these forums. I just upgraded to an 8310 Curve from an 8700c. On my old BB, I used PDReplyAsNew to change my "Sent From" address for my replies -- worked like a charm. However, now that I've got a new BB and have been re-installing my old apps and utils, I've found that Cross River Systems no longer makes mention of PDReplyAsNew on it's site. The download link is gone. Does anyone know where to find this software, or is there a way to transfer from my old BB to my new one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, David |
Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut) Do you have a backup from your old device? You could use the Switch Device Wizard to move applications from one device to the other. |
Thanks, JSanders, for your suggestion. I didn't think of that option, because I use a mac with my BB and PocketMac doesn't allow you to backup (I don't think). I checked it out by installing the Desktop Manager software on my wife's Vista laptop, but it isn't as straight-forward as I'd like it to be. I figured out how to select the individual apps to switch over, but there are some services that it only gives me the option to "downgrade" and I'm not sure what that will do to my new curve. The services and apps in question are: amn, LBS, and Google Maps, and Google Sync It seems I have the option to either "downgrade" or "remove." I'd like to have the action of "none." Any suggestions as to what's safe? Please forgive my ignorance. I've never backed up or restored anything from my old device. Respectfully, David |
Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830) Check Berry Review.com. I thought I saw it as on OTA link on their wap site. |

Thanks, akosnitzky, for your link. I tried it, but it says that the file is not found on the site. I'd love to find an OTA or desktop download for this. Thanks for your help, Respectfully, David |
