Question Syncing Tasks, Calendar & Address Book w/ Other Apps

Please Login to Remove!

I have a third party application (Top Producer) that I use for custom contact management for Real Estate. It has a lot of functionality I need that is seperate from standard contact management. I have a desktop version and a Blackberry version which syncs fine. My challenge is there is functionality on the standard Blackberry that I can not take advantage of because all my contact data is in this third party application. I can not use caller ID (because it is enabled from the Blackberry Address Book), etc. etc. There has to be a tool out there that I can use to synchronize Top Producer with the standard applications on the Blackberry. Any suggestions?

I took a quick look at the Top Producer website, I see your problem. It looks like the closest (only?) solution is trying to use Microsoft Outlook for both items; sync Top Producer with it's connector to Outlook, and sync your BlackBerry with the RIM connector to Outlook as well. Outlook would be a "man in the middle" if you will.

It doesn't look like it does Calendar or Tasks, but at least you might get Contacts. I think the real solution is for you (and folks like you) to pester the Top Producer developers to create some sort of sync program for your BlackBerry direct databases...

Unfortunately the Outlook Connector in Top Producer doesn't even sync contacts. You can do a database dump and load contacts into TP, but it is not set up to do ongoing syncs. Outlook Connector is designed to track and manage emails in the TP program. I am still left with no real syncing solution. I thought of setting up an automated dump and upload but that is going to be a pain and was hopping there was a solution I could use. Thanks for the input.

I can recommend TaskMaster for BlackBerry. Works great, is fast, and it is compatible for sync'ing
