Default File transfer to and fro PC (I know...) - 08-18-2005, 07:47 PM

Maybe I'll be flamed for asking the obvious, but I've dug around quite a bit and would still like to ask: if I want to receive Word documents as mail attachments, transfer them to PC for revision, transfer them back to the Blackberry and forward them as attachments again, is DynoPlex software the (only/best) solution?

Thanks.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're not looking to edit them on the BB, you're editing them on your PC. If all you're doing is forwarding the messaging to and from the BB as an attachment you shouldn't need Dynoplex. I'm at a loss as to why you would use the BB as a go-between to forward however if that's all you're doing. Much easier to email from the PC after revision. Send to the BB if you need to view the document on the go.

Hopefully that answers your question, although I may be misunderstanding what it is you're trying to do.

Wirelessly posted (My sword: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry7290/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

You can forward all day back and forth with no aftermarket software. But to edit them... Hmm that's a good question. For example I just received a non discloserue via email a few minutes ago. Now if I was able to edit, I could of filled out the document, sent it back, and get the info I needed.. But now I have to wait until I'm at the office to do it... Is any one aware of a program that will allow me to have multiple folders to store files..? Or can this already be done without..?? Thx

if you tell me to search, i tell you to go scratch.
this time around, i promise to be patient with my berry and not loose my cool...

What I actually want to do is transfer files received as mail attachments from my Blackberry to my laptop using the USB connection, work on them, transfer them back from the laptop to the Blackberry the same way, then mail the revised document off as an attachment from the Blackberry. In other words, be able to send/receive documents via the Blackberry when I can't connect my laptop to the net.

I'm pretty sure DynoPlex allows you to do what you want, i.e. edit documents on the Blackberry and mail them off again. Others may too (hence, partly, my original post).

I suppose the other alternative is simply to use the Blackberry as a modem in these circumstances, but I understand this can be very slow.
