Question MLB Tracker - 07-13-2008, 07:18 PM

Hello everyone,

I am sorry for creating a new thread, but there are so many random MLB tracker threads that it is just too confusing.

I dowloaded the MLB tracker twice and it won't let me use it. I get a message saying something with java and the URL that it is trying to access.

Any suggestions or updates?

Thank you very much!

What is exact error message? There may be some Browser Options you need to to turn on or off for it to work correctly (Browser -> Options -> Browser Config)

Here is what it says when I click the icon:

!Unable to connect to MLB data source. Please exit this application and retry again.

ERROR: java.io.IOException:
java.io.IOException: Invalid url parameter.
MLB Scores

I have everything checked in browser config options except "support embedded media"

Also have:

Show images: On WML & HTML Pages
Emulation mode: Blackberry
Content mode: WML & HTML
Startpage: Homepage

What OS are you running? If you're using a 4.5 beta, it may not work with that version.

This app hasn't worked for me for the last 3-4 weeks on my 8100. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no success.

I have it working on my 8330. Just can't tell if it is still working, because
there are no baseball games today (Wed 7-16-08)
I'm using version 0.92 and in the options I have the
"Use Device TCP Setting" clicked.
The only thing is when I first start MLB tracker I get asked (every time)
"The application MLBTracker has attempted to access wap.mlb.com"
with a Yes or No, I just click on "Yes" and then I have to click on
the MLBTracker icon again and then it opens "Today's Games"

Couldn't get this to work, and I never even saw it so thought it wasn't worth it. If it did work I would love to have something like this.

For now, Viigo is a bit slow, so I go to browser --> Bookmarks --> ESPN MLB scores. Plus you can see the box score etc. if you click through.

Hi BklynEddie,

Can you give me the URL where you downloaded your 0.92 version from, as the version on this forum is 0.85

Thank you kindly!

Ok I just checked in Option>Advanced Options>Applications>MLBTracker 0.85
But when I run/open MLBTracker across the top is "MLB Tracker v0.92"
This is so weird...
Did you try the 0.85?
