Post WEATHER - Any Suggestions? - 08-19-2005, 07:46 PM

Good Afternoon All,

I am looking for a good weather program for the BB 7520 on Nextel. I have searched many forums, handango.com, and some others but there is nothing out there that I can find that is really promising.

I used to have My-Cast, but it's not offered through nextel for the BB. Anyone have any experience with any programs that they would like to suggest?

Thanks in advance!!

Matt

Try the following thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/aftermarket-software/6944-download-bblight-bbweather-bbtoday-bbreply-binaries-gpl-source-code-included.html BBWeather offers a dedicated weather app and BBToday offers a weather function within the app.

Finch,

I saw that, and even though it's a great program that I am using now, it doesn't offer radar or radar loop. I am in the emergency services field and I need something that can tell me what's on the way when it comes to inclement weather. BBWeather is great for current conditions and forcast, but radar is where it's at. Thanks for the info though!

Matt

Try this site:

http://mobile.wunderground.com/

After you enter your zip code, you can bookmark that page so that you don't have to reenter the zip code each time you want the weather for your area.

Busysignal,

I tried to use that it I get an error that the html page cannot be translated to HDML. So this looks like another strike out! Thank you though.

I use accuweather, I bookmarked the page with my zipcode and it also provides radar.

Edit: You can get there from the BB homepage, it should be under weather.

Works great! Alot of clicking to just see a radar, and the pic is very small, but it's better then nothing.

Thanks Dawg!
