Default Hierarchical Notes Software? - 07-15-2008, 05:41 PM

The built-in MemoPad feature is lacking a number of features that are important to me, and I'm wondering if there is any aftermarket software that does notetaking better. A key feature is the ability to save notes to the SD Card, and another is the ability to make bulleted/hierarchical lists and sublists, as in keynote for the PC:

Tranglos software: KeyNote

I'm on a student budget and don't have a data plan for my phone, so free/inexpensive programs that don't require internet access will work best for me. Thanks for any input!

I am not aware of one that fits your specs as required. I know of task list app similar to your need, not for notes.

ToDoMatrix might work, it is not free.

I don't know any of them that save to your Media Card.

Sorry. You might need to broaden your specs a bit.

Yeah, the products on offer by REXWireless look fantastic. Just unaffordable for me.

The only reason I even have a Curve is that I repaired one a buddy was on the verge of tossing.

If the task list app you're referring to is MaraTick - I've been using that, and it's excellent. If not, which one are you thinking of?

MaraTic is the one...

There are a few others in the AfterMarket Software section, just not as decent as that one, IMO.

IdeaMatrix doesn't fit the requirements you mentioned, and, you really need a data plan to use all the features. However, RexWireless does offer a $10 educational discount if you are interested.

IdeaMatrix might not be what I'm looking for, but ToDoMatrix looks really excellent for my needs:

REXwireless Software

(Caution: that's a link to a video with voiceover.)

It looks more or less exactly like what I want, and it may not even require a data subscription. Thanks for the heads up on the student discount.

Edit: Actually, it does require data:

REXwireless BlackBerry software requires e-mail and internet data provisioned on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Wirelessly posted

The other thing about ToDoMatrix is that the number of bytes/note is quite limited. That is why IdeaMatrix was suggested, I suspect.
