Default Remove Aerize Optimizer - 07-16-2008, 11:02 AM

Anyone know how to remove Aerize Optimizer 2008?

If I go to Options/Advanced/Applications, this particular item has no "Delete" option. If I go to DM, the checkbox is greyed, so I cannot uncheck it.

This company's web site has been down and they aren't returning e-mails.

I don't want to do a complete wipe of my device, clearly. There has to be some way to remove it, though.

And, yes, I set it to "Off" from "Auto." Did no good.

Smile Ae"rize" to the occassion - 08-25-2008, 03:38 PM

Ok... I'm having the same issue. Thought this app would answer all my prayers, installed it, it freaked out on my Pearl and now I can't delete it. There is no support available. One solution (and I laugh as I write this) is to load their other app (aerize card loader 2008) to delete aerize optimizer from the device. Then how do you delete "card loader"? Every entry should have an exit... as far as their reputation, their not scoring points in the user community.

I already tried "uninstall" using PocketMac and no go. It just won't delete. Wondering if it was loaded into ROM and not RAM.

Let me know if you've had any luck with anything else. Don't want to "master reset" the device.

Try Options > Advanced > Applications > Menu > Modules. Do you see it listed there, to delete?

I eventually got it uninstalled. I don't remember the exact steps, but I seem to recall that it has something to do with messing with the files on my PC (i.e., those that App Loader looks at).

The fact that they offer no mechanism to remove their products is unacceptable. The fact that they never replied to my request for assistance is even worse.

I'd say: stay away from this company. They may have some interesting products, but I'm never going to trust them again.
