Suppose it depends what you want it to do, but I think it's absolutely superb. I use it to use a particular app remotely...it's pretty quick, and has so far worked without a hitch. There is a free trial...download it and give it a go.

I have it, I tried the free trial for exactly ten minutes before I ordered it. I bought 2 licenses for $60.00 One for me one for our consultant. I use it to get to my desktop server in the office and from there i have access to all the other 8 servers and 32 PC's at work. Not a bad little app for $30.00 considering that I live 32 miles away from work and was over 150 miles away on vacation when I was called in.

GO FOR IT.

On the server end of it you have to set up an account in the desktop software for remote desktop that allows you to log in, without it you will never get in.You set up the account by giving it an user name and a password that you also must confirm. On the handheld you have to configure the server IP, the user name you used and the password in order to connect. Make sure that port 6100 is open to allow the traffic to come through for the server. That is all there is and it works.

I go to WWW.IPCHICKEN.COM when the ip comes up I jot it down and that is the address I use for the Handheld. I honestly dont know what else to tell you, mine worked on the first try. I have Verizon and I am using a 7250.Make sure that the firewall on the BB is disabled. Any one else has some suggestions here?

A few points check. Make sure you are entering the external IP or your router rather than the internal one.

When you say you have opened the port on the router...what do you mean? You have to actually set port-forwarding...whereby...when traffic comes into the router on that port...it is sent to the computer running the server.

It will also be a good idea, if you haven't already, to set the machine running the server to have a static IP rather than dynamic...this will ensure that it always has the same IP, and is therefore always accessable (sp) from the outside.

Lastly...check that the windows firewall...or whichever one you are using is set to allow traffic in on that port.

Hey guys, I intalled the server and the client created an accont and when i try to connect, I am getting this "the application rdmclient has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy" I have disabled the firewall on my PC but I cant seem to be able to do the same to my handheld. It just doesn't have the option to disable it.

I have a 7230 with T-Mobile. What do you think? Thank You.

It looks like that you work via BES. Try to ask your BES admin!

Thats strange cause when I changed the connection option to BES the firewall didn't cause any problems. I don't have a bes plan but it still worked.

Thanks for the tip Mate
