I was just checking out a site. And I found a program that you can use to silence the camera, I'm only suggesting this one because there's another one that you have to actually pay for. This one is free.

Download it OTA, check the set permissions and allow the "Key Injection"


Sorry if this has been posted, I didn't see it anywhere.

Edit: I think I posted in the wrong section, if you want please move to aftermarket software, sorry I forgot there was such a section.

It is silent, and it works just like a normal camera, the only thing is that it doesn't have the shutter sound. Though, it is a different program, you have to select the peek-a-boo program instead of just going into camera. So if you would to use a convience key that was already set for the normal camera, you might want to set it to the silenced camera if you don't want the shutter.

Does this program work with CDMA BlackBerries? I know BerryAnnoying only works for GSM.

It's true, if you allow key injection, it just keeps taking pictures over and over. It's also not silent, just quiet.

Did exactly the same thing to me on GSM (8310 OS 4.5.0.55). Perhaps it's not compatible w/4.5??

I very quickly uninstalled it when it was doing that since I figured who knows what else it can do if it's not compatible with my BB.

I'm quite certain that if you don't allow the "key injection" you can't even launch it.

The first time I ran it, I didn't allow key injection. It popped up an error warning me about possible key injections, but it still ran. It only took one picture that time.

We don't have CDMA BB here in Indonesia that's why we couldn't test them. So it is a NO for CDMA

and also for some 4.2.x it won't work. Try to upgrade it if it occurs
