If you read the first post more closely, the OP said he does not have a BB data plan but he does have a regular data plan.

BB Wishlist:
-Gmail BIS integration with an effective 2-way read/unread sync solution.
-Better integrated alarm.

I am confused.

I am with AT&T and I need a BB data plan to access ANY data - including the data to GET the apps on my phone AND to access the data associated with the apps.

The OP is on Sprint... how does the 'regular' data plan differ from the 'BB' data plan? Are you (is he) actually saying that he can use Google Maps with the 'regular' data plan, but he needs the 'BB' data plan to get the app installed on his 'berry?

It would seem logical that whatever plan he uses to access the Google Map data from his blackberry would be 'good enough' to use to get the app in the first place. I am honestly not trying to be difficult or snarky... I really don't understand.
