So my friend had his ipod which of course never beats my 8320, but we went to a baseball game and he got ScoreMobile, which for any baseball (and probably most other sports) has A LOT of stuff on it. I never wanted to pay for the ESPN one, but it pulls up box scores easily, does stats etc.

If someone knew of one of these for the BB, I would be most grateful.

I just use http://mobile.mlb.com via the browser. Great, simple, has auto refresh as well. And free. (note: auto refresh used during an entire baseball game will suck a battery for sure, but still a good site.)

This thing is like a better updated Viigo sports, with 10x more stats. ESPN is what I use, and ESPN has everything, but through the web browser (I know cry me a river, but I like having my browser free without 3 hour interruptions or more). This program was also really fast with the options, so it probably updated through there, but it was really fast on the Iphone 1st gen.

What I like about ESPN, is that you can copy and paste scores to others.

I've been looking for years for a decent service that would email/sms scoring updates as they happen but have yet to find anything remotely acceptable.

I've used the free version of HandMark's Pocket Express for that the last couple of years, its great and gives you comprehensive news and pretty good weather for free too. Gives full stats and recaps after the game, and updates often enough that you can do pretty well keeping track of other games currently being played while watching one.
