Default Three-Way Chat - 08-13-2008, 10:54 AM

Is it possible to have a three-way chat session in Jive Talk? I've tried a number of things while in the program, and even searched their help and here () but haven't been able to find a way to do that. I have had multiple two-way chats going, but what I would prefer is one chat where three (or more) persons are all viewing all of the content.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

No, not currently. That would be cool, but no.

Darn. I was hoping I could. Thanks for the help, as always.

Try the latest beta, which allows you to set up a chat room. There is a link in Beejive's forum (Beejive • View topic - Beejive IM - Group Chats) -- be sure to read through the entire thread as there has been at least one update.

How stable does the most recent beta appear to be?

I have not used the group chat extensively, but the beta appears to be very stable, in general.

Thank you. I may check it out, if I'm up for dealing with a few beta headaches. I'll contemplate that for a bit.

Thanks for the heads up on the new Jivetalk beta! I might check it out.. although, for those wondering, there is still no home screen alert icon

I would love to get the same OS integration as MSChat, and Google Talk, but I have heard this is a limitation imposed by RIM not granting full API access.

Having the ribbon icon and the inclusion in the message list would be wonderful.
