Default Possible To Have Aim on Blackberry Pearl 8100?

i have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 T-Mobile with unlimited texting, i've been searching for a way to get on aim by SMS but i seem to only find ones for Curls, is there any ?!?!! AHHHHHHH.

whats a data plan? i can call people too and shiet, after 9 i get free mins and weekends too. if thats what u mean im dumb lol. i also got unlimited texting, whats a data plan

A data plan is what the BB uses for email and web browsing. With a data plan you have more options for IM applications.

i don't think so....my blackberry messenger works, is that part of it? i can go check my minutes i have left....and download games and music and applications and things

Well if you have BBM than you have a data plan it's the only way it will work. try going to mobile.blackberry.com on your BB and then instant messaging for the Blackberry smartphone and follow the links for AIM.

well not necessarily he can have the $15 unlimited email options which includes BBM on that... but no browsing and that means no IM

Your T-mobile 8100 should come with the OZ messenger program that lets you use AIM via Text messages.

yeah, i didn't think you needed the data plan to use AIM
