Default HelloWorld Browser (View Scrollable Google Maps On BlackBerry!) - 09-11-2005, 01:42 PM

freek.ca just relased HelloWorld Browser 2.0 which allows you to view Google Maps from your BlackBerry. You can also get directions.

It sounds pretty neat, I havn't tried it yet but you can download a trial (just browse with your BlackBerry) at

BES Users: www.freek.ca/HelloWorldBes.jad
Non-BES: www.freek.ca/HelloWorld.jad

Full version costs 20 bucks from Handango.

This is a very cool application -- It's actually scrollable Google Maps on your BlackBerry. Maps are downloaded OTA realtime "on-the-fly" as you scroll around, just like on the desktop Google Maps.

This was written by one of my coworkers.

Give this one a try.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

Is there a way to scroll from right to left? Or can you only scroll the maps up and down?

thanks,

dude - examine your keyboard. letters O and P (on a 72XX) have a right and left above the letters.

haven't use a 7100 for a while:

if the 7100 has an alt key - hold it down while scrolling
