I put Mobipocket on my BB pearl but now I can't seem to figure out how to "upload" ebooks to it. Also, everytime I try to click on to my eBookstore, or my account, it says 'an error occured while accessing the list of eBookstores(network timeout) I'm unsure as to what thats all about to! Any help would be insanely appreciated! Work is slow and I'd love to start on some books!!! Thanks a bundle!!

Uninstall your mobipocket reader from your device and reinstall this version:

Mobipocket Beta program - eBook reader for Blackberry

You should also make sure your connection settings are correct:

In the BB's Main Menu, enter the Options section.
Then go to the Advanced Options. Choose Applications.
A list of installed apps show, select the Mobipocket Reader with your cursor and open a menu.
Choose "Edit Permissions"
You will then be shown a new section with the permissions of the Mobipocket Reader.

Select "Connections", open a menu and choose "Expand".
Repeat this for "Interactions" and "User Data".

This will let you see how the different connections are setup for the Reader.
It is best (if you can modify them) to set them all to allow.

Ok so I tried that, uninstalled, then installed the Beta version. Went to make sure all my options were at 'allow' and I'm still getting the same error!

Thank you so much for your help! I had installed mobipocket several times, successfully according to the device. I also installed the desktop version so that I could send files to the device. However, I would send a file, checked the media card and saw it there, yet the application would not recognize it in the library. Until I read your advice about permissions. I am a newbie at BB and didn't know anything about permissions. I uninstalled mobipocket and reinstalled, after that I allowed all that I could. Now I have two books on my BB and could not be happier! Prior to BB I was using an Axim. I now am totally BB. I bought a pearl and love it. The ebook reader was my last application to find for the pearl.
