Has anyone from the UK been able to run jive talk with the regular data plan ( 5 day w'n'w pass)
All apps work fine, but when i try to connect jive talk i get error 302 .

Solved the problem. Apparently, when u buy a prepaid number in the UK it comes with a content block with does not allow to access certain web pages (including facebook). This content block also did not allow Jivetalk to connect to the net ( hence the error moved temoporarily).
Once I went to the store and proved that I am over 18, the content lock was taken off withing 5 minutes and Jive talk worked fine!!

So, when in UK and buying prepaid sim's ask for content lock to be removed, or you will be only able to access the Disney channel website )

Hi, I am also using prepaid SIM card when i am traveling overseas.
Do you find running Jivetalk on TCP connection drains your battery much faster than RIM Live messenger on BIS data?
I find Jivetalk on TCP can barely last for 8 hours while Live Messenger on BIS can last for days. Any comment?

The only factor that affects battery life in my opinion is the strength of the signal. When in UK, my batter needs recharging every 8-10 hrs while i get about 1.5 days at home. However, the signal in the UK is never higher than 2 bars, while at home I always get 5. Other that this, I really don't think it matters if you use BIS or TCP
