I'm also finding it's not updating today. It says it is, even with the last time it did, but it's not showing my friends online.

Update version 5.3... I read that we need to delete the old version first otherwise you'll end up with both installed.

i've deleted the old one using the blackberry -> installed the new one -> error "xberry - class multiply defined". did it again using the windows software...same error. well, the whole thing isn't too important and only for playing around.

After a lot of reading you have to donate something to him and then email him your pin and he will give you access. I will be donating tomorrow just thought I would share with the rest of you.

Maybe this doesn't work because he doesn't have the funds? In the update, he might have put an invalid URL to update to, so he wouldn't get charged, but he plans on releasing another update with a valid URL when he has the funds. By the way, this is all a guess based on the berryreview.com article:

I am not really sure what bandwidth costs he is refering to. He could always have the app hosted on any number of Blackberry sites. The app itself goes directly to live.xbox.com (it gets blocked by our web filtering if it uses the MDS connection).

I would love to donate, but I won't until I know all the facts.

I believe MS has stated that all apps like this that hook into xbl have to be free. But that still doesn't explain what he's doing with a server when it probably just goes straight to MS's servers.
