FlyCast Mobile Network Extends Its Reach to New BlackBerry Smartphones

SANTA CLARA, CA xxx8211; October 21, 2008 xxx8211; FlyCast today announced at the
BlackBerry® Developer Conference, where the company is a finalist in the
BlackBerry Developer Challenge, that on November 1st, its mobile broadcast
network will be ready for the BlackBerry® Curve, BlackBerry® Boldxxx8482; and
BlackBerry® Stormxxx8482; smartphones from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM;
TSX: RIM) .

FlyCastxxx8217;s mobile broadcast network is one of the first of its kind to be
available for BlackBerry smartphones. It will be available as a free download from
the FlyCast mobile website (mobile.flycast.fm) beginning November 1st.
The FlyCast network is the first specifically designed application to deliver radio,
video and podcasts over mobile broadband and Wi-Fi networks to mobile devices.

The FlyCast Mobile Broadcast Network includes over 1000 stations from top
terrestrial and web broadcasters, including Entercom, Cox Radio, AccuRadio, 977
Music, 1.FM, 1Club and radioIO. The network provides unsurpassed quality of
service and paradigm-shifting features, like StreamSlipTM, which allows users to
continue to listen to a station even during extended periods without a
connection; Top of the HourTM, which allows latecomers to listen from the beginning
of news, talk and sports radio shows; SongSkipTM, which allows listeners to skip to

smartphone version of FlyCast supports background play, allowing users to listen

Well then, it's not "Now On BlackBerry", it it? This thread should have been titled a press release, or "coming soon", rather than mislead the readers of this thread from the headlines.

That's not Blackberry support!! That's Curve, Bold, and Storm support. :(

No one cares about those models any more!! ;)

FlyCast's internet radio application is now available download at our site. FlyCast.fm. This version of FlyCast for BlackBerry works on BlackBerry Bold phones with OS version 4.6, on BlackBerry Curve phones with OS 4.5(Sprint, Verizon and other CDMA networks) and OS 4.3 (AT&T, T-Mobile and other 3G networks) and BlackBerry Storm phones with OS 4.7.

Its been posted before. I have tried it out and it works on my 8310 .81 OS. Only thing is I can't see how you add your own stations you want to listen too. However, the nice thing about it, you don't use the BB Media player and its flaws.

When I signup. I keep getting the prompt you must provide a valid userid. I also placed this issue on their forum site.

Go to their site and go through the main area.
You will see a large IPOD and a button next to it that says
"Sign Up for Flytunes"

Click on this and you can register.
Then you will be able to login from your BB.

Took me a while to figure it out yesterday.

Thank you. I am logged in. In accordance with my device, my settings are network only. I was able to load a song for a moment. I guess I will need to use trial and error.

Working great on My 8310 so far! Love being able to get WEEI Sports out of Boston! GO RED SOX!
