Default McAfee Anti-Theft - 10-29-2008, 08:10 PM

Has anyone tried this software out? Any opinions?

It is made by McAfee and is in the beta stage right now. It supposedly locks your phone up if another SIM is inserted and alerts you of their location and phone number. I just signed up to download the beta version on McAfee's site but they don't support the 8800..only 8820 and 8830 is listed.

This McAfee crap I assume you got off getjar is just bak2u rebranded and when you look at the info the site for mcafee does not exist, this is not the same as the info regarding the Storm having Mcafee either,it looks..imo someone just got creative and rebranded that crap...if u need/want this service use Troy's post for sure and KNOW you are getting the real deal.

I have used that program (the one from getjar) and it does work on my Bold. I do see now that Bla1ze is correct though, it does seem to be bak2u...it does not expire though.
