Default SMS Quick reply. Looking for beta testers - 10-31-2008, 03:28 PM

I have started developing a quick reply app for the blackberry. I got tired of being in one screen just to get a text message, then having to close out of what I was doing, go into the messages application, bring up the latest, then do a reply. What this does is whenever a text message comes in, it will pop up a little window telling you who it's from and their message. You can then write a reply right from there. No closing out of what you were doing.

There are 2 things I want to implement into this before I'm complete
  1. For some reason the sent messages aren't in the messages folder.
  2. Mark the incomming message a read... which, based on all of my research, seems to be impossible

I don't like it. It should have some sort of UI. Deleted, it hardly lasted 1 minute. Sorry

my old RAZR did that. got REALLY annoying. i'm in one text message composing something and here comes this window interrupting my text. could be useful if you don't mind it, but for me i'd rather the text come up in the background. if you have your email's and SMS in one folder and dial from homescreen turned off, a quick stroke of the end key and the m key will bring up your texts/emails.

sorry to bash your program, good luck
