The page does load faster. However, I expect to slow down as others join their servers

I am having problems with the menu. When I press the menu key, the menu only comes up for a second, then disappears. If I hold the button down, it stays up for maybe 3 or 4 seconds before disappearing. The sticky part about it though is that it's actually still there because when I scroll down, the highlighted item is seen, but just for a brief second. Also, when I hit the ball, whatever option the cursor is on is activated.
I'm not sure if this is an actual 4.2 problem, or a conflict with something else as I only use it sporadically.
Edit: I found the problem. It was a animated theme I was using that caused the problem. I deleted it, and now the menu is working normally.

Opera 4.2 seems slow for me.
i upgraded my os to 4.5 from 4.3 and noticed right away that opera (original version) was slower. I deleted that version of opera and installed opera mini 4.2. it was faster for the first day, but it has slowed down a lot now.
should opera be this slow, typically when select a bookmark, it seems like it just stalls, then after almost 7 - 10 seconds the connecting bar at the bottom begins to fill up. but there is always a minimum of 5 seconds before anything happens.

Application Switcher No Longer Works -
11-14-2008, 12:47 PM
The thing I hate about this latest version is the lack of the ability to call the application switcher. I have my right-side button set to application switcher and when I click it while in Opera 4.2 nothing happens. The only way I can check emails is by exiting Opera 4.2. This switch used to work in Opera 4.1. Anyone else having a problem with this?

I am not sure I experience any major differences. Maybe its my settings, but the skin thing is no big deal in 4.2

I find that it's a little bit faster... But I still run into the same problem where I can't view pages properly when I change my font on my Bold... I like using the font "BBCasual" but when I use Opera Mini, everything is all bunched up!
And also, I can't go view Hotmail property win any browser since Hotmail changed to their new look.

I'm having this problem too. I'm glad you found it was the theme, but it is quite annoying. Plus I'd rather keep the theme (since it's a Bold like theme) and use the BBbrowser instead.

Has anyone found out how to use BBCasual with Opera Mini? I like this font because it is narrow and therefore shows more text on the screen without looking too bad.
This is almost a deal breaker with Opera Mini... I was going to use it because people claim being able to download 30+ MB files with it.
Also, I'm on BES and I cant access internal sites with Opera Mini.

I've been downloading movies from videos4blackberry since OM 4.1 so you can do that with 4.2

The BlackBerry browser is the only browser that will route threw the BES, unless your IT Dept has an IT policy stating otherwise. Other browsers ignore the BES and go right to the net.
For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

I've always had BB Casual on and OM works perfectly. Are you getting an error or what exactly is the problem?

I'm talking specifically about the Bold with this issue. Some sites render the text incorrectly and smushed together. Some sites display all the text on the same line.

Well, everything is updated to reflect the bold, but I can't find out where to update the "posted wirelessly" info. I AM posting from my AT&T bold.
Originally I signed up with a 8703e from VZW, but I've since ported and upgraded.
Anyone point me in the right direction to change the "updated wirelessly" text info?
