Default AlertMatrix v WebMessenger - 11-12-2008, 02:51 PM

Considering installing one of these programs on my wife's Curve (WebMessenger doesn't appear to be compatible with the Bold yet). Am in the process of trying BBAlerts, which seems ok, but pretty basic, and with very little instructions.

Now have come across these two programs, and am interested in your views as to which is best etc. (I've already seen from some preliminary research that WebMessenger has more options (spam killer, the big one), but that AlertMatrix is still relatively new - saw a thread re these programs from about 6 months ago, that doesn't appear to be active anymore).

Thanks

I'm very happy with AlertMatrix. I tried WebMessenger but its kind of FIFO and forget with its alerting. AlertMatrix offers different priority levels where alerts for wife can supersede your boss which can supersede your buddy, no matter what order the messages actually come in. And the alerts will keep going off forever if you forget the blackberry in the car or whatever.

Have tried both. Both work well IMHO. It all comes down to integration. AMX can integrate with the other suite of products from RexWireless (and will more in the future). But MessageAlerts is good as well. Bith work well on the bold, I have tried both on Bold!

AlertMatrix does allow you to set the LED color; I use it. I can't compare it to WebMessenger, I don't use it.
