Default Mobylo! Multi-Alarm - 11-15-2008, 12:59 PM

Has anyone had any luck whatsoever getting these guys to respond to emails?

I bought the multi-alarm a few months ago, then had to get my Curve warranty replaced so of course the mult-alarm won't register anymore. Mobylo doesn't respond to emails to their website, nor on BBforums.

A $30 alarm clock app should be transferrable for the same user.

Yes you should, but I have tried also and no response.

Good luck.

I got responses from them. Did not remember having a problem with them.

I had an issue with Mobylo on my 8310 three months ago and they never answered. I'm done doing business with them.

They haven't responded to emails from me, or Handango or other sites that have tried to contact the Mobylo people on my behalf.

Considering that the key is issued only by the author and not the sites handling the sales, I have no idea how one would get their key if a new user were to make a purchase now.

I too was trying to get a replacement key when I switched devices. Possibly they are not interested in re-issuing keys and would rather make a new sale -- but it's hard to know since you can't get a response one way or another.

I am having them same issue with Mobylo with their quickresponse software. I have emailed them numerous times with no response whatsoever. The worst part is that I need this software and no one makes a better replacement.

brill, a replacement for you: BBSmart Alarms Pro (BBSmart - BBSmart Alarms Pro).

Unlimited alarms, $15, and very responsive customer support. The demo runs for 10 days, if interested.

So far I am a very satisfied customer.

I love Quick Response from Mobylo--however they are not responding to my emails for a new key -- changed up to an 8330. But I will hang in there cause the program is fantastic

Wirelessly posted (8320)

Yep, same here. Device was replaced and I can't get a new key now. This is silly for a $30 alarm clock

Smart alarms is alright. I don't like that it won't let me use the pre loaded tones though

Okay, I bit the bullet on behalf of my fellow forum members. ;)

I had Moblyo MultiAlarm for my 8800, and like others here, got no response from the Mobylo people when I switched phones to a Bold a few months ago. I finally gave up and purchased an alternative Alarm application (Adorno MultiAlarm), mainly because although I had a new key for BBSmart AlarmsPro, it would not run on the Bold.

I was intrigued/perplexed by the fact that the Mobylo site still exists and that Mobihand is still selling the Moblylo MultiAlarm application. So... I repurchased Mobylo MultiAlarm from Mobihand. Now that said, I did not purchase it the first time around from Mobihand, I purchased mine from Handango (who generated dozens of keys for me when I switched, but Moblylo MultiAlarm was not one of them).

The point of this story which I hadn't mentioned yet, is that Mobihand generated the key on the fly and displayed it on my browser (as opposed to my receiving a separate email later on from Mobylo), so Mobihand has the capability of generating keys for this application. (Okay, the other point is that I shouldn't have bothered since I already had a decent alarm application but that's another story).

So, for those at least that purchased Mobylo MultiAlarm through Mobihand, there is possibly some hope for you.

PS - I'd like to make clear that the purpose of my post is not to encourage Mobylo MultiAlarm owners who purchased elsewhere to bombard Mobihand with email requests. Good luck.

FYI to everyone, there is absolutely no reason to consider using anything else but BB Smart Alarms Pro. BBSmart took a very long time updating their software but they were very responsive to emails throughout the whole time at least. They've lowered the price on their alarm software to 5 bucks and it does everything you'll ever need! It has a 10 day free trial, so you can test it out before you drop the 5 bucks.. but I can assure you, aside from the length in updating, it's been my favorite app (and definitely most used). Their customer service is great! BBSmart - Software for your BlackBerry®

The thing that sucks for me (and this is enough of a showstopper I went back to using the built in alarm for my daily alarm) is this: When the alarms goes off, I want to be able to reach for the device, in the dark, without looking at it, and scroll up for 'get up', or down for 'stay right here'. I could do that with mobylo, I can currently do that with the built in alarm. With bbsmart alarm, I have to try to make my eyes focus and see what I am clicking.

Sorry if that seems like whining. Its a big deal to me.
