Has anyone had any problems with their myspace app? everytime I go into the mail part of the app....it had the same messages that I had when I installed the program for the first time. Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a fix for that?

it works fine.. i read on crackberry that there are issues on verizon phones though...

It works great on my Verizon Curve 8330. I've loaded the latest 4.5 OS. However, I have a user having a problem with it on her ATT Curve 8330 with the 4.2.0.89 OS. She can install it, but it will not launch. We're using the same IT Policy so I've ruled that out.

I have a Verizon 8830 and I'm not having any issues.

Pull the battery out of your phone and put it back in. That worked for me

I have had 4.5 installed for months now! I have tried pulling the battery and nothing.....u think reinstalling it would be in order?

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app wouldn't hurt.

Works great for me. I would uninstall and reinstall it.

on myspace do you have it soo that your comments have to be approved? because if you do, you need to change your settings so they do not need to be aaproved.. i had the same problem and once i did that i began to get new comments and stuff.. hope this works for ya

My wife's Curve (ATT) does not show the icon. It installs correctly, but there is no icon.

I was having errors when I would go to my messages, now thats cleared but the problem is that it doesnt update when I have new messages. I also noticed notifications dont work.

When I check for updates it says it can't. Does anyone else have that issue? It seems to actually check for updates but the box says it's not.

Also I really wish there was a way to mass delete the inbox messages.

My problem on the Storm is that Comments do not work. Everthing else appears on the app correctly.

When I get a comment I get the email to my BB but the myspace app does not register it for some reason.

It registers everything else fine.

I get the same thing when checking for updates.

It's an early release so expect there to be bugs. The best thing you can do is write to the app designers and tell them your experiences with it. When enough issues are identified and corrected, we'll get a better release - as with all new technology.

I unistalled it, when i would open it, it would give me errors and when I would check for messages it would gove me and error and close it out.

I only see the messages that i had when i first installed the app and the ones i sent from the app. and the first time i installed the app, it showed the myspace notification icon but hasn't since then. i have done battery pulls and uninstall/reinstall of this app and the problem has not fixed. i have changed all permissions to allow all and still nothing. a lil annoying but not necessarily a big deal

It works fine on my Curve running OS 4.5.0.102 but the icon will not show up on my girlfriends which is running 4.5.0.69. She installed it a couple weeks or so ago and same deal. I just updated it tonight after installing it on mine and it installs fine but no icon anywhere. Pulled battery, tried changing themes, etc.. No go..

Have been running new Myspace app on my 8310 since its release and have no problems at all, its great. However, recently every time I click on the Myspace icon, nothing happens, after a while, a white screen just comes on but nothing else. Tried removing and reinstalling to my device, and still does the same thing?

I was under the impression that "check for updates" was checking for updates to the app, not for new content. At any rate, I don't get notifications either. I also tried adjusting the app permissions, etc. to no avail. Hopefully an update will come down soon.

I'm having problems on my Verizon curve after its done loading I get a white screen and the phone freezes up. Everything works fine except for the myspace app.

Has anyone been receiving the "error communicating with myspace" message?

I have been receiving that error. Just recently started. Im wondering if there is something wrong with my myspace account though because when I log onto others names it works just fine. Can't figure out whats wrong tho...

No expert here but I think this revolves around how you have it set up and what e-mail address it uses and your myspace notifications.

If I remeber correctly, MySpace did do a website update around the time of Dec...For me thats when the app stopped working and nothing would update, just emails i sent out no new emails no notifications, this app sucks.

Uninstall and reinstall after pulling your battery out once.This worked for me .

wow i thought it was only me. first time i started experiencing these problems i just restarted. that worked for a week or so. then it started acting up again so i uninstalled it. i reinstalled, but the icon wouldnt come up. i tried different ways that got it back, now none of the ways work. the icon is just hiding somewhere i guess. im uninstalling it till they have a new release. i hope they fix it. it work so fast especially on wi-fi. it was a great time saver as oppose to actually signing in on the actual website and waiting till each page loads.

Uninstall/Reinstall, battery pull.. even tried resending service books, logging out/in..

I'm out of ideas.. Not a major issue but without notifications I never change MySpace lol..

I fixed my issue..

Remove the MySpace app, then login to your BIS page and remove the email address associated with MySpace..

Then re-add the service books, re-install the MySpace App.

Try that. I did a bit more then the above.. but that should get it going for you.

Thanks for the tip. I tried it but worked for a couple of days. I noticed when I went to check my messages it just said "loading". After a few minutes it, it loaded. Now when I click on icon on my BB, it locks it up and I can't move around for nothing. I even tried deleting some apps because I thought they were making my BB go crazy because I noticed that it constantly kept displaying the busy icon and it looked like there was date being sent/received. This started happening right after I updated to OS 4.5. If I could go back to 4.2 I would but the new version has video capability and a few other things I like. Is yours still working? Thanks.

What OS are you running on your phone 4.5.0.xxx?

I would make sure you are running the most current even if it isn't from your carrier.

I'm using a BB Curve 8320 from TMO with OS v4.5.0.81 (Platform 2.7.0.78) but the funny thing is that it seems to be working right now. All I did was delete a few apps like BB Maps and some other app I can't think of right now. I don't want to say I fix the issue because it could come back again.

Worst case scenario, I'd update the OS, you can find the latest OS in the 83xx forum.

My MySpace app has kind of hung after I opened it (Only once, very rare)... bit I'm running a few extra apps..
