Default Best Video Converter For Your Blackberry!!! - 01-06-2009, 10:33 PM

Okay so i must have gone through like 10 different video converters and paid for 3 of them, the reason i went through so many converters is because i was trying to find a converter that would give me video quality like speed racer demo that comes with the blackberry BOLD and i think i found, its dam near equal to the speed racer demo clip. There is a catch though......

Nidesoft BlackBerry Video Converter
Nidesoft DVD to BlackBerry Converter

Its not Free!!! There's a trail version, but then You have shell out $25 for the full version. I already know what your thinking... I AM NOT PAYING $25!!!

But let me tell you its really, really, really, worth it. I converted Ironman, The Dark Knight, and SIN CITY. It looks feakin beautiful, so crisp and clear. If you use this converter, you will truly be taking advantage of the Black Berry BOLD's VGA Screen. I swear its equal to speed racer demo clip. These are the settings i put in when converting videos.

VIDEO SIZE: 480x320
CROP MODE: Full Screen
Video Quality: 1200 kbps
Audio Quality: 128 kbps (sounds great)

It is settins for my Bold, and here is my suggestions for other Blackberry phones
BlackBerry Storm:
Recommended video format: MP4, 480*360 pixels, up to 2 Mbps, 30 frames per second
BlackBerry Curve 8900:
Recommended video format: MP4, 480*360 pixels, up to 1500 kbps, 24 frames per second.
BlackBerry Pearl 8100, 8110, 8120, 8220 smartphones:
Recommended video format: MP4, 240x320 pixels, up to 768 kbps, 24 frames per second.

Feel free to try your own settings, but these worked out great for me. So go download it, install it and try it out, remember you get a trail version, you get to convert 2 minutes of video when using the trail version, so really have nothing loose. let me just say it will look beautiful on the the BOLD. Let me know how it works for guys BLACK BERRY BOLD

Hello,

I have a question. Are you being paid to post about this software?

The reason I ask is we have had dozens of spam posts about Nidesoft software. When a user joins and makes 10 essentially useless posts so they can post links, then procedes to post what looks like an advertisement for a software, we are very suspicious.

Well, that's interesting because you have the same IP address as the OP. Multiple user accounts are grounds for banning here.

It's not free anymore. Not that I wouldn't pay for a good program, but are there any other free converters that anyone uses successfully?

Hia all,
Nice to see you are all so clued up about so called spammers and real people.
I actually posted a reply to a thread where a video converter was required, and I suggested a totally different converter, called DVD Catalyst 3.

Glad I didnt get bombarded with replies of being an advertiser though.

Just to let you guys know what DVD Catalyst 3 is, its a video converter for various devices such as PSP's, PMPs , phones etc etc,

I personally have used DVD Catalyst from version 2 and the GT version for about a year and a half. I had a recent problem with re installing the programme and DVD Catalyst helped via email.
As I pointed out that I had a BOLD and the Bold description was not in the version 3 converter, they just sent me an email and said it would be added in the next upgrade.

Here's the thing though, that I am so used to with DVD Catalyst.
I have thrown most types of video formats at DVD Catalyst and asked it to convert to my Archos 504 and 99.9% of the time it has worked.

theres lots to be said about it, but its easier for you , who are interested in having a look at it yourself.
Just google DVD Catalyst 2, or DVD Catalyst GT, or DVD Catalyst 3 and you will get to their site alright.
I have posted some of the formats it can do on another thread in the BOLD forums.

I forgot to add,,,,,
Although the Bold was not in the Device output description I used, as per their technical dept, one of the 83xx device outputs, and even then, if I wanted to I could change various settings...
I did, and well I am a happy person with 2 DVD quality videos converted.

I wasn't impressed with it and did not buy the full version... glad I didn't now.

I did however buy another program that did work for me after some adjustment. I had a question for the developer and he got back to me within a few hours. I think any of these programs is a gamble.

hi, I am customer service from nidesoft studio.
firstly, I am so sorry about the inconvenience that has brought to you. I apologize for that.
In fact, we check our feedback email everyday and I am sure we have replied all emails sent on 12-27. Maybe the email got lost due to system problem, so would you please give me another email address so that we can contact with you to solve your problem as soon as possible. Thanks!
Best wishes!
