Im just setting up our BES to distribute Opera Mini 4.2 .
As i read in the Opera FAQ , socket connection keeps open a connection to the opera servers, so pages load faster and updates are pushed.
Using http does not have this advantages but is usable by all phone models and all mobile networks.
So, what happens when i choose socket AND http when setting up the browser ?
Does the phone use socket connection if avaible and otherwise http or how does the phone decide which connection type it uses ?
Is there more datatraffic using socket connection because of the allways open connection to opera servers ?
What is the difference between choosing "all ...connections" and "..connection to server server4.operamini.com" ?
I hope someone can help
