That's pretty much it, I've deleted the browser bookmark, the icon on the home screen and later it pops back up. I don't need it because viigo has weather on it but I just can get rid of the accuweather push application.

If it's being pushed by your carrier, you can't get rid of it. Best thing is to hide the icon.
