Default Gmail launcher needed - 02-13-2009, 10:36 AM

I do not have a data plan as of yet so I check my email online.

There are plenty links to the Gmail App.
I need the Gmail site.

Surely someone must already have a launcher icon to the Gmail site?

anyone?

If you don't have a data plan, how are you planning on browsing the gmail site? That still uses data...

Which site exactly are you looking for? The mobile website (not an app) for browsing gmail is: http://m.gmail.com

I have access to many wifi spots in which to surf the Internet.

yes - you have the correct website noted.

Of course I know that I can simply bookmark this site but I would prefer to have a launcher icon so that I can keep it on my home screen.

Edit :
I am not sure IF the gmail app itself works over WiFi :

http://gmail.com/app/v2.0.6/L1/Black...GoogleMail.jad (OS46)

I tried this app with my 8900 and it doesn't work... Downloading was quick but the icon is not responding.
