| Be wary -- there have been other programs sold that claim to "free up memory", and the priors ones have generally been fakes. In an OS such as BB uses, applications are protected from touching each other's memory -- that's one of the key concepts in a well designed operating system, and the BB OS is one of the most robust (and *secure*) on the market. People buy the software for a few dollars, convince themselves that it's made *some* difference, and recommend it to friends. Unfortunately, unless and until RIM makes calls available to app developers that allow apps to affect the memory managed by either the OS or other applications that are running, this is most likely totally bogus. Sadly, Handango doesn't do any kind of QA evaluation or testing of claims on products like this, and the text on the site is exactly what is provided by the publisher. |
