How to roll back versions of Google Talk?

Looks like Blackberry has locked down the process so that one can only download the latest version, and only direct to a blackberry device.

I am less than impressed with the "upgraded" features of version 2.1.41, compared to the older version I had. I believe it may have been something around 1.2.11.

Any ideas? Where can previous versions of Google Talk be accessed, and how to load them onto a device?
