Default YouMail 0.95.4 Released

Please Login to Remove!

The icon is better on dark backgrounds in a sucky kind of way and it now includes the often demanded asterisk when a new voicemail is received. It also has been delivering messages to me in a push kind of way.

The application icon is showing the new asterisk before the text message notification even shows up. I have opened it up for 3 messages and they are there, downloaded and ready to roll.

Very nice! Looks like the YouMail icon will be coming to my Today screen!

An updated icon you say? I am going to have to check this out.

UPDATE: Installed and mildly surprised. They have made an attempt to create a legit icon. Unfortunately they failed to follow any of the icon design guidelines documented by RIM.

The issue I have with 0.95.4 is that when you listen to a voicemail the on screen voicemail indicator does not get removed. VyMail is still the one I use.

It does change on the 8130 that I have. Please contact support and tell them about your issue, which device and OS you are on.

Yes, they do. Both are built on the YouMail API. VyMail is built by a 3rd par dev (Joe Krill) and the other is built in house by YouMail.

There is an ongoing debate about which is better/preferred.

Ahh, it doesn't add anything into the audio profiles so can't have a custom tone for it...hmmm

Nope, not yet it doesn't. Notifications are a day old with them. They will do it.

At least the icon is more visible...! FYI the new notification vm icon is linked to the missed call icon on the phone. If you go into phone mode both disappear
