Not sure if this has been posted yet but I've been trying to dl Iheartmusic and it tells me my model is not supported. I have a pearl 8120 and the web site says it supports the pearl. Am I doing something wrong?

Can you explain more? Is it a client you are downloading or just music

I only was able to get a promo to play for a station. That's it.

It worked quite nicely on my 8100 but it didn't offer any stations that I didn't already get through Moodio; in fact, the radio station selection seemed to be restricted to Clear Channel stations (not surprised since iheartradio appears to be owned by Clear Channel).

Nice looking app but I'll stick to Moodio just to reduce the app clutter on my Pearl.

I added it to my Curve, seems to work just fine. Downloaded quickly and music selection is pretty broad if u like radio. which i do. easy to navigate, figure i'd try it and think so far so good!!

Thumbs up 03-16-2009, 04:21 PM

It's great..I'm lovin it on my Pearl. It's been working pretty flawlessly except for buffering sometimes between stations.

You have to remember its just a beta launch of it...I think theyre looking for some feedback and I'm sure they have a FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter for those types of things..anyone know?

I know there was a place to put your email in to get some updates too.

Overall, I give them

Radio is back. Good job!

It worked for me right out of the box. When I close the app, I see a lot network activity. I shut the BB off/on to stop it. - can listen to an old station in Philly WDAS FM

this is a fantastic app. the sound quality is great, and the buffering speed absolutely DOMINATES that of slacker's on my curve 8330. anyone have any idea as to how many stations this app will support in the near future? the cities seem pretty limited; i'd love to see them expand. i realize not every radio station out there streams their music on the internet, but i've got to believe that there are more than what iheart currently offers....

that is strange, especially since you've had at least SOME degree of success (with the promos). i'm guessing you've tried all of the "go-to" steps (uninstall, reinstall, battery pulls, etc.) outside from those steps, it must be a problem on their end....

i download it too and it worked fine for me.. but after using it for sometime I uninstalled the app.. it did not allow me to listen the radio station of my choice.. the radio stations were fixed. The interface is simple but it is still not that intuitive.

Nice. And for anyone interested, I'd highly recommend checking out the Pandora app for the BlackBerry that just came out today. www.pandora.com from your BB browser. It has taken over for Slacker on my device; I'll be deleting Slacker momentarily

I like Pandora as well and works fine. Another user said it doesnt work with Bluetooth. I cant confirm. The one issue I see with these programs is the wear and tear on the battery power

i recently installed iheartradio on my curve 8310 and do not like it and would like to delete it...however when i open up my blackberry desktop manager and check the box to remove iheartradio it automatically checks itself back so i cannot remove it...any ideas why this is happening or another solution on how i can uninstall the program?

I just installed on 8900 today also. Works great. I am on T-Mobile. I plan on using when in charging dock and listening to music when I am doing something else on the computer.

I just installed it on my 8330, and it will buffer for a little bit, and then play for a few seconds, and then stop. To get it to go again, you have to press play again.

I downloaded it only to listen to my favorite talk station here in Orlando, but this every few seconds thing is getting on my nerves.

Certain stations react differently it seems.
I seem to have better success when I did a reinstall

From the FAQ:

What do I need to use iheartradio?
You'll need a BlackBerry Pearl, Curve or Bold smartphone running firmware version 4.3 or later. A list of specific BlackBerry models is below. After downloading and installing the application, you'll need to be connected to a cellular data network or Wi-Fi in order to use iheartradio. Please note that only BlackBerry Bold and Curve support Wi-Fi connections.

Models currently supported:
BlackBerry Bold 9000
BlackBerry Curve 8900
BlackBerry Curve 8350i
BlackBerry Curve 8330
BlackBerry Curve 8310
BlackBerry Curve 8300
BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230
BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220
BlackBerry Pearl 8130
BlackBerry Pearl 8100

1. BlackBerry Storm support coming soon. Sign-up to be notified when.
2. BlackBerry World Edition is currently not supported.
3. BlackBerry Curve on T-Mobile is currently not supported.

There's your problem. Your model is not listed as supported. It seems SOME pearls are, but yours is not.

EDIT: Just downloaded this app. So far, seems spectacular. Easy, pretty, and fast.

*Watching.*

Just put it on my Sprint 8330... very slick. I'll have to give pandora a try, but this just kicked Slacker off my Curve.

yep, just updated it myself. didn't see a change log, but it's good to see updates so soon after the initial launch. i think pandora will quickly become a "must have" if it has not already

moodio.fm is the best app for the Storm of all those listed. I can get every station that I want and if there is one that is not listed I can just add it. Been using it for a couple of months now and I love it.

No wayyyyy, iheartradio is by far better then moodio. Their are 100's of stations and it is faster in my opinion, you should check it out. wwwdotiheartradiodotcom/blackberry

Just downloaded and love it. Unfortunatly, my favorite sports talk station is not a Clear Channel station so I have to stick with Moodio for that. But I will keep this, I really like the interface.
