Direct from the BeeJive Support Forum:

"This is an early beta and many of the normal features are not currently implemented. This includes chat logs, file transfers, and some other features. Rest assured, these will be added soon. If you'd like to participate in beta testing you can download the application using the link below."

Please keep the beta status in mind while testing and report any bugs you come across here :Beejive - instant messaging anywhere

urg...after all the waiting, this wasn't that great of a release...
it already froze on me while trying to add ppl to my buddy list, and then the auto-start feature, like the native msger clients, doesn't exist...
i know its a beta, but November-May...and now this...with all that time, and pre-storm hype...you think as a courtesy to those who spent money on their software they'd spend a bit more time and energy into this thing...

good, but not great...i might stick with the native IM clients until the full release...

I've actually been using it since Monday, and I'm happy with it so far.

For me, it accomplishes what I need it to do. I like the GUI, the LED color options is a perk (although I wish they went more in-depth with it). I think my phone has crashed one time with it installed so far (far less than what the innate IM programs used to do), and oddly enough that may not have been the culprit either, as it was just sitting on my desk at the time.

If they fix the portrait text problem, added an option for sound, and fix the occasional login errors, then I'd have no complaints (ignoring the 6 month wait of course).

I wish they added the ability to have this app start when your berry starts.

I am playing with the free trial right now and it's a beautiful application (like everyone almost always says)...but it kills my battery in half a day if I leave it running all day in the background. Now some people have said that the official version may be more efficient but I'm not sure. Anybody go from the trial to the purchased version and see a difference in battery usage?

Don't know about the storm beta, but the bold beta w/facebook also kills my battery in short order. I stopped using it and went with separate gtalk/AIM from RIM. Hope the final release improves the battery usage.
