Default Evernote BB Client - NOT For The Rest of The World! - 05-11-2009, 10:25 PM

I just find it odd that for a free client Evernote feels it must release it on AppWorld! What about the rest of us that are not in US, UK or Canada? I guess we are less important to Evernote...

What's this Evernote do?

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

Evernote is my absolute favorite web app. I use it for everything. It lets you save text, pic, web sites, etc. to a sort of online database. (They market themselves as an extension to your brain.) Basically anything I see online that I want to save for future reference, I drop into Evernote. Then I can log in and see it from my BB, PC, etc.

I save code snippets, articles, pics, emails, links, ebooks, whatever. The free version is adequate for my needs, they also have a pay version with more space.

Highly recommended.

Thanks for the tip kathryn. I had pretty much dismissed evernote when I read somewhere that it required BB ver. 4.6 which of course we don't have on the 8330. Didn't know there was an online version.

I've used Evernote on my iPhone in the past and as previously posted it is a very nice application. One word of warning though. Check the Terms of Service carefully. They have the right to disclose the data that you sync to their site.

I stopped using Evernote due to my company blocking access to it (probably due to the TOS). If any of you use BlueCoat, you may want to verify that it isn't blocked prior to using it.

Well, apparently they have decided to release it to all users from around the world now. I was quite upset when they only limited it to AppWorld; which was quite silly considering it was a free client. Still some ways to go to catch up with the iPhone client though. First and foremost, saving notes locally to the device. That is a must!

Well, that would stop me from using the site. Thanks for the tip.
