The newly available Version 2.62 restores the search history page, which includes a menu item to clear your entire search history. Thanks for the notes.

Very nice application. I would love to see College Football added to the sports list!

I have found that with AskMeNow installed (non-BETA version) that I receive an error message and am unable to open Berry411. Has anyone else experienced this?

The error is
Uncaught exception: java.lang.ClassCastException

What does this mean?

Can I get the map to appear larger on my 8700c? It is small and centered on the screen.

Wink Feature request - 12-02-2005, 01:43 PM

Props go to you Phil ... Berry411 is definitly among the top 10 most useful third-party BB apps out there.

I have a couple of feature requests/suggestions for future releases:

1)
Make the "Location" field editable on the fly from the main screen. Having 3 pre-programmed defaults is great, but, for those of us who are on the road 90% of the day it would be useful to be able to quickly enter a random start location that would not be stored permanently.

This way, if I'm at a client's office I can quickly find the closest Gas Station, Coffee Shop, etc. without having to erase one of my stored default locations.

2)
Make the preset location list more flexible in terms of number of entries and labels for entries.

For example, in addition to "Home" and "Work" I could define "Head Office", "Cottage", "Warehouse", etc.

Add me to the list.
And of the two, berry411 seems better...it's certainly cheaper!

Phil, great work as always! One of my most used applications, I can't live without the 411. It's saved me a lot of 411Connect call charges, I can tell you that.

I would like to second the request above for updates to the location, both from the perspective of expanding the amount of saveable locations, as well as making it possible to change the location on the fly without having to save it. Only make a great application even greater...

Now you can call me STORMin' Norman, except my name isn't Norman.

I used it today for the first time in a real capacity (despite my computer sitting 10 feet away). I thought I was just using it just to play with my new toy, but it was actually MUCH faster than going to my computer, loading google, finding the number and dialing. Absolutely fantastic!

Ok. So I have seen people talking about a "map" icon...I dont have anything like that. I type in the address just like it should be formatted for Google Local. I have searched with the yellow pages, white pages, and Google and still have no idea how to get a map of an address. Any help would be sweet!

If I go to Search Tools in the Menu, There is a place to enter in an address, then click the map button, when I do this all that comes up is a white screen. Any ideas? All the other funtions work properly.

Hector
Try using AskMeNow version 2.04. It works for me with Berry411.
