Default bb messenger on iphone or ichat on bb??

i was going to be switching to an iphone or to use in conjunction with my current bb. i use bb messenger often. if i use an iphone can someone install an app on the bb that mimics bb messenger and so an iphone user and bb user can communicate without having to use regular text messaging???

BBM only works for BB's...it is PIN messaging which only BB's have...no way to mimic it on another platform

okay. is there a program that both iphone and bb users can use to communicate like bb messenger??

Yahoo email accounts can by pushed to iphones. If you install Beejive, you can set it to email you if someone starts to chat on msn/yahoo/aim etc
Ive used this system and it works fine.

i haven't yet downloaded beejive since i'll have the new iphone on friday, but if i use ichat can i send an im/text to someone on yahoo?? or do i need a yahoo account to send an im to someone from my iphone if i have ichat/aim?? i was reading that beejive let's you instant message anywhere in real time but does is it cross platform to allow you to im other people on yahoo or jabber and aim all at once??
