I came across this app, and since I'm a runner I found it quite handy. Not so sure about the accuracy, but I think it should keep good track of your distance, time and calories. Needs GPS and Data

Gonna give this a try, but too bad there is not a Pearl specific version. Hopefully one of the generic java versions will work...

All I did was go to SportyPal | Free tracking mobile application for all GPS enabled phones and clicked on the download bar. Took me to to the BB version right away

Not only the software that works fine, but also the web service is way organized. I just saw that on their website now they provide a way to embed the maps on to other websites or blogs. Great stuff if you have a blog or you want to show people your rides or performances.

Yes, it works only through Wi-fi, that is the only way I have been able to upload the workouts or start the application. But I read that also on their blog because it's a beta version.

Hi there, I posted on the SportyPal forum but to no avail. I've had this on my phone for two weeks and in that time I have tried on a number of occasions to use it without success. The problem is that when you start a new workout and "GPS Initializing" starts, it is always timed out for me. I have only had two occasions where I have connected.

Is there something I have missed in the setup?

Andy

Anyone have issues with the accuracy? I was just testing standing still and it had me going 50 yards in about a minute.

If you are indoor or surrounded with buildings or trees this can happen, otherwise in my case the accuracy is +/- 2 yards.
