I have been using this program for a long time now. It's a phone remote control for your PC.

Very happy with it. Nice interface, can control mouse or iTunes, Powerpoint, Media Player Classic, etc. I use it over boothtooth with my older phone and can do it over bluetooth with my BB Pearl Flip 8220. Had the hardest time installing it on this BB. Copied the jar file to SD card. Went into media, hit explore and installed it from there (if that helps anyone else) I have set it up to do it over WiFi which would be much much better. I did it the same as I did it for my old phone, opened ports and have NO_IP to give me a static IP and of course made an internal static. I have tried alot of things and it always either times out with some sort of Java exspection or it says phone out of range. Anyone else have this or can try it for free, but even the bluetooth side is worth the small charge. Please help I really want this to work over WiFi. Thank You.

When I try to connect via wifi with my Blackberry 8900 I continually get the same error:

IOException: java.io.IOException: Timed out

I use the IP address given at the top of my Phone Remote Control GUI on my PC. I have tried using the default custom port, I have tried no custom port, I have tried with a passcode, I have tried without a passcode. It doesn't seem to matter, I always get the same error.

Anyone have any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

After playing around with Phone Remote Control for a few days in both wifi mode and bluetooth mode I came to the following conclusion: DO NOT BUY THIS APPLICATION. It is nearly impossible to get running and is not ready to be released. Save yourself some serious hassle and do not mess with it.

Anyone out there have a good solution to remotely control WinAmp? I don't care if it is bluetooth or wifi (although wifi would be preferred).
