Default new bbToday error - missing XOAP link parameter - 07-08-2009, 07:56 AM
bbToday has worked well for me and I used it mainly for the stock ticker and weather. I know there are other apps (which I also have) but I like the one screen, one-stop shop layout. Lately, the weather module is not working and has an error of "Missing XOAP link parameter in request". Anyone else having this problem? Any fixes? Thanks.

Yes, as has been stated in many, many, many threads yesterday and today, the source data feed from weather.com has changed. A search (must not be working) on "XOAP" would have determined that.

Check and see if BBToday was updated for this change, and download the new version if it is available.

On the other hand, I had "6" in the over/under on the number of threads opened on a single problem. We're at 7

I updated BBWeather to v0.86 and it works great. I also updated BBToday to v1.6 but cannot get the weather portion to work yet. Still have the "XOAP" error.

Yes, that's been established. Many times. But people are still having problems with BBToday.

I'm hoping for a fix to the bbToday app but haven't seen anything on it yet. Been searching the forum.

For others with previous versions installed, you will need to uninstall it, reboot, and then reinstall this new one or otherwise you will get an error.
