Default Speech recognition in IM+ (BlackBerry version) - 07-15-2009, 07:53 AM

Speech recognition is available in a free demo for IM+ All-in-One Messenger (BlackBerry version).
Now you can dictate instant messages and send them to your friends!

Would this software also work when sending e-mails? I have been looking for a way to dictate e-mails into my blackberry so it can type for me.
Thank You.

I believe the free version of Vlingo let's you do that.

For the first time I feel the future might hold something different for me. It's possible I'm fooling myself but I'm willing to take the risk.

Thanks for letting me know.
I checked, free version does not type e-mails.

Vlingo Products

but it is only $18. If it works, I might get it since I normally have to reply while driving.

Well actually the free version does allow you to create emails but only to people who also have Vlingo. So yes you'll probably have to pay the money. I use the program. Not perfect, but functional, especially for creating tasks on the fly (by voice). The email/texts can be problematic while driving since you'll have to read the text to assure accuracy before you send it, and you'll likely have to make a few changes. Shouldn't be doing that while driving, but if you're at a stop light for a few minutes, then you can check.....

Thank You.
Speech recognition built in IM+ only works in IM+ dialogs.
