BERRY BUZZ LED's

downloaded berrybuzz application and its working good. I know they have a forum at bellshare.com but I don't want to register to their site because I don't think I would need long term support with their products at this point. So, ill ask my question on here and hope someone knows the answer. In relation to the LED light, when I receive an email or phone call the light blinks at the same time as the alert or vibration. When I receive a SMS the light only comes on like 3 seconds after the noise/vibration. I didn't see an option to adjust it.I basically just want the light to flash as soon as the vibration or noise alert is going. Anything I can do?
Cheers.

There is no setting in Berrybuzz that can change that.

I think what you are seeing is more the result of how the phone handles notifications than Berrybuzz. There is no way to adjust this delay in Berrybuzz because the initial notification of the event is handled by the device.

That said - if you have LED Flashing turned Off in the profile for the event, Berrybuzz will handle all LED functions and depending on the device itself there could be a slight delay between the vibration (handled by the device) and the LED tuning on (handled by Berrybuzz once it gets notification that the event has occurred). On my 8900 there is no obvious delay but I think this could be affected by the device itself.

If you don't have LED Flashing set up in the event profile you might reduce the delay by enabling it but would likely see a brief flash Red of the LED before any custom Berrybuzz colors take over.

Keep in mind that while Berrybuzz 2 has substantial capabilities to control LED colors and blink rates from the beginning of an alert it's primary purpose is to address a shortcoming on the BB OS itself - that being that the OS will only keep the LED blinking for 15 minutes and then it will turn it off leaving you with no clear way of knowing that you missed the initial alert.

Berrybuzz is an event reminder more than an event notifier. The ability to control LED colors from the first event notification is an added benefit.

If you would like an event notifier check out smartalerts. Smartalerts is also a Bellshare app and works in conjunction with Berrybuzz.
It is an in depth app but very much worth it if you need custom alerts.

On a related note, I noticed some weeks ago an app that would let you customise the colour of your LED, but I forgot the name of it. is SmartAlerts it?

SmartAlerts only lets you play sounds for specific senders. BerryBuzz controls the LEDs

AlertMatrix controls the LED's also.

It's also a bit more expensive :)
