Default How do I backup/restore PD Today and PD Lists to another 8830?

Please Login to Remove!

My 8830 has a faulty end call key so I was sent a new phone. I've tried unsuccessfully to transfer these two programs to my new phone using desktop manager and could use so explicit instructions from a bb guru.

I'm not having much luck communicating with Pocketday people and I'm getting nervous because I've got a lot of important info in my PD Lists.

Did you use the Switch Device Wizard? Or what did you do with Desktop Manager?
When you use the Switch Device Wizard, it should back up all your PD and PD lists data. But you stil need to install the apps again and the data should be restored after that.

I tried the switch device wizard and I can't open PD Today. I'm getting an error: "Error starting PocketDay Symbol 'pdlistlib@pdLists.setUniformColor' not found."

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

What type of PD license did you have?

I've been a happy Pocketday user for years (PD Pro) on several different BBs, and have never found a way to separately back the settings up and then restore 'em. I'd love to know how to do it - the switch device wizard or OS upgrade fails to carry the settings every now and again, and I'm stuck setting up again from scratch.

My custom scoreboard is the worst: I track about 30 college BB teams, and it's tedious to hunt them down one by one. I can't even type them in, I have to scroll through lists to locate them.

At least the stocks are in a single text field, and I can just copy the list back in from a saved message.
