Default Gmail app data usage?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

Can anyone give like a ballpark figure how much data Gmail app is using to check emails? I mean it has to connect quite often and check the server for any new email and I was wondering how much data "just checking" takes without downloading anything....

Depends on how much mail you have and whether you download attachments.

As far as just checking, I wouldn't think it would be that much, but really hard to answer.

do you think that checking alone is more than 100KB/day?

There is a built-in option to keep track for you... in the Gmail app, try going to Settings, then scroll to the bottom and check the box that says "Show my total data usage (KB) per session". Hopefully this helps.
