So I used to have vlingo and loved it. It was completely free and fully functioning. Now it costs 18 bucks for the full version. If I can find an older version of it hopefully it will still work the same. I refuse to pay money for a program that used to be free and now costs money. Just doesn't seem right. Free should remain free.so, Does anyone have an OTA link to an older version of Vlingo?

My understanding is that the program is free but that without the full license you can't email/text people who don't have Vlingo; otherwise, all else is good.

I stayed with the free version. Agree with you, why pay for something if you already have or had it for free.

Ya i have it too. I was cleaning up the berry the other day(deleting apps i dont use). I absolutely never use Vlingo but i didnt delete it just because i saw it costs money now. I guess saving it for a rainy day...so the only difference between the free version and the paid version is that I cannot speak an email and email it to someone without Vlingo? sorry a bit confused on that subject

yes that's correct. You can take advantage of all the options when communicating with someone else who has Vlingo; must pay to use it with others. Still good app, in my view, as it can be used to create tasks, open certain programs, send notes to self, and I think its voice dialing works better than the BB app.

I absolutely loved it. Phone became defective tho....must I now REBUY this app? Phone was a week old. Hope not...very annoying. Vlingo is AWESOME! Anyone know about redownloading apps already paid for once?

I personally enjoy Vlingo. I conduct a lot of business on the run and mobile and it works pretty good on my Storm on TMo. I do agree about it being free and now you have to pay, but as all apps that start free, when the developer(s) smell profit they will go and get it! I did not want to upgrade but did to Vlingo Everywhere and it was a worth while investment for my productivity. My 2 drops (pennies)
